BREAKING: Big Ten Network and Mediacom Reach Deal

Well that certainly didn't take long. Ask and you shall receive! We asked for BTN this morning and this afternoon comes great news!

WHO-TV (Des Moines) and KCRG (Cedar Rapids) among others are reporting that Mediacom and Big Ten Network have reached an agreement. The official announcement is expected to come on Monday, but it sounds as though the Big Ten Network will be placed on Mediacom's Family Cable tier. We will have more details next week when the announcement becomes official. Whether or not they will have the channel available to all subscribers by Iowa's game against Maine on Saturday remains to be seen, but you can almost certainly expect to have Big Ten Network on your TV by the Iowa-Iowa State game.
